Do you process film?
Yes! We offer dip & dunk processing of disposable cameras and 35mm, 120, 4x5, and 8x10 film.
What will I get back when I drop off my film?
All of our film services are “a la carte” so everything (processing, scanning, and prints) is priced separately. If you need prints or a digital copy of your film, please let our customer service representatives know at the time of drop off.
Do you return the negatives after processing film?
Always! We know the great value negatives have in this digital age.
How do I load/unload 35mm film?
Check out our video for a few tips!
I live outside of Austin. Can I mail you my film?
Absolutely! You are more than welcome to mail us your film or any other projects. You can send your film any way that is convenient for you (we receive a lot through USPS). Use our mail order form or include a detailed note of what you want to receive back, and we will get your order into production! Once the order is complete and ready to ship back, you will receive a phone call from our shipping department for credit card payment over the phone. We return ship by FedEx ground.
Do you have a darkroom for rent?
Unfortunately, we closed our printing darkroom in 2016.
How do I get my files to you for printing?
How will I know when my order is ready for pick up?
We will always call or email you when your order is ready!
Do you offer order pickup and delivery?
How will I receive my digital files from you?
We use WeTransfer to send you your images. We also sell USB drives for $10 in the shop if that is more convenient for you.
Do I need an appointment to meet with you?
You do not need an appointment to place an order. But please contact us to schedule an appointment if you'd like a studio portrait or passport photo taken.
What is the turnaround time for my order?
Standard turnaround time for orders is 3 business days per service. For example, if you have a photo that you would like to have scanned and re-printed, the turnaround time is 6 business days (3 business days for the scan and 3 business days for the print). Saturdays and Sundays are NOT production days for us, so please keep this in mind when planning your project. If you need something a little faster, we are more than happy to do a rush for you as our production schedule permits.
I have some photos on my phone that I want to print. Do you do that?
Yes! Our ordering system is mobile-friendly - please visit print.hollandphoto.com to place your order. You can also send us files from your phone by email. Be sure to choose the highest resolution file your phone can create when emailing (usually “actual size” or equivalent). Modern phone image files can be printed as large as 16x20 in some cases!
I have a lot of family photos that I would like to be archived and made digital. Can you do that? How does it work?
Yes! We do offer family archiving! Our cost is about $100 per 500 photos that you bring in. Please remove your images from any frames or albums to make the process go a little quicker for our technicians. When you drop off your project, you will be given a turnaround time estimate of 1 to 3 weeks depending on how large your project is. We will call you when your order is complete!
